In 2023 I found a gap in the dandruff and skincare market with an oil-based formula that has since made well over 25,000 sales and has received over 1,000 reviews, mostly incredibly
positive (4.3 star rating).
The product has a good repeat customer rate (~20%), and strong branding protected by a UK trademark.
Main advertising method is Google Ads, followed by TikTok Shop (6,000+ sales), Amazon, and eBay.
There's huge potential here for someone wanting to scale.
This company had an adjusted net profit of £58,345 in the last tax year, and the reason I'm selling at only a at such a large discount is because there are a couple challenges:
1. I currently make this product in house. You'll have to find a manufacturer. I do have a quote from one, and am in talks with another. I can fulfill orders for a couple months in the meantime until everything is flowing for you (unless you want to make it in house).
2. The product is currently underpriced. Small issue, but as a new founder in 2023, I priced the initial 100ml bottle too low at only £14. I increased this to £20 eventually, but last September decided to cut the bottle size to 50ml and decrease the price to £14 again. This encouraged even more regular repeat purchases, but the price is still too low and should be increased to the £20 range if you want to scale (which may annoy some loyal repeat customers, but can be helped with some type of loyalty discount code).
If you have good execution, I believe this could easily be a £1m+ business.
Any questions, let me know.
Thanks,
D
