A rare opportunity to acquire Red Moon Cruises a turn-key business with an established and successful reputation, based on a beautifully converted historic WWII heritage motor fishing operating as a fully equipped commercial cruise business in one of the most spectacular cruising grounds in Europe.
Created by former yacht crew after years in the international yachting industry, this owner-operated business has been built around bespoke small-boat cruising on the west coast of Scotland, with a particular focus on the Inner Hebrides and Skye.
The business offers exclusive-use cruises for up to four guests, combining slow travel, wildlife, beautiful scenery and a high level of personal service. It has been intentionally run as a lifestyle business, offering the owners the chance to live and work afloat, enjoy a stunning seasonal cruising area and operate on their own terms; however, there is definite scope to increase turnover through frequency and number of bookings.
Included in the sale is the 15m converted wooden MFV 'Red Moon', together with the established business assets including branding, website, social media presence, goodwill and potential forward bookings. The owners will be happy to provide reasonable guidance and handover support to help a new owner get started.
Red Moon is a unique vessel with significant character and charm; she was originally built in Poole in 1944 and launched in 1945 as a Motor Fishing Vessel during the Second World War. Following the war she operated in Scottish waters as a fishing vessel before a complete and labour of love conversion to a cruising yacht in the 1980's.
During 2008-10 she underwent further interior conversion to become the charming intimate charter vessel she is today. Whilst currently operating from Dunstaffnage Marina during the spring and the prime location of the beautiful village of Plockton during the main summer months, new owners could also pick from the rest of the Scottish West Coast or further afield.
