New Forest Interiors was established in the attractive and affluent town of Lymington back in 1995.  Purchased by our client in 2011, the business has an outstanding reputation for creativity, service, quality of product, and value for money.   

Curtains and blinds, together with ancillary items, are the principal source of income for the business.  New Forest Interiors also provides upholstery, carpets, wallpaper, flooring, and other design services to its clients. 

Assisting the vendor is a group of skilled subcontractors which includes curtain makers, soft furnishers, and fitters.  Some work exclusively for New Forest Interiors and most have been providing their expertise to the business for over 10 years.

As you would expect after so many years of trading, the business has built an exceptional supplier base.  These include Colefax & Fowler, Linwood, Romo, Cormar, Byron & Byron, etc.  The vendor estimates that circa 600 pattern books from the business’s suppliers will transfer with the sale.       

This is only the second time in its more than 3 decade history that New Forest Interiors has been offered for sale.  The purchase would be particularly well suited to interior design professionals, potentially working from home currently, who are looking to expand their range of services and take advantage of New Forest Interiors’ stellar reputation.  Our client is very keen to see the business continue to thrive post sale.  As such, a comprehensive handover, and potentially training program, will be available to the new owner(s) if required.

Trading Hours: The shop is open Monday-Friday: 9.15am-5.00pm, Saturday: 10.00am-4.00pm.  Additionally the vendor occasionally meets with customers and potential clients at their homes and businesses outside of the listed hours.   

Employees: In addition to the subcontractors, there are two long-serving individuals who work in the shop.  One is directly employed by the business, the other is self-employed.

Premises Details: Attractive, double-fronted, ground floor premises totalling approx. 63.7 sq m/685 sq ft. 

Lease Terms: Our client has a secure 15 year lease that commenced in March 2021.  The current rent is £14,350 per annum, paid monthly in advance.  The landlord is aware that the business is being marketed for sale and, subject to satisfactory references, has indicated that they would be prepared to offer a new lease to the purchaser of the business on the current terms.
