This is not a conventional “buy a franchise and follow the manual” opportunity. As a Pilot Franchisee, you will join at ground level and have a genuine opportunity to help shape the operating model, client proposition, fee structure, technology and future franchise network.
With this in mind, the costs to you to join as a Pilot Franchisee will reflect the opportunity, and your input.
Set up by leading franchise consultancy Lime Licensing Group, Sell Up Business Brokers is looking for an experienced business broker or business transfer agent to become one of our first Pilot Franchisees.
The UK business broker market is highly fragmented and, in many respects, has changed little for decades. Sell Up has been created to offer something more modern: a customer-first, technology-enabled brokerage model that combines experienced local advisers with national marketing, intelligent systems, buyer engagement and a more transparent approach to selling UK SMEs.
The opportunity
Sell Up will support local Business Brokers operating defined territories across the UK, initially focusing on owner-managed businesses and SME transactions. Our ambition is to build a respected national brand that puts clients’ objectives ahead of outdated, self-interested brokerage practices.
You will be locally visible and relationship-led, while benefiting from the backing of the wider Lime Licensing Group ecosystem, including specialist franchising expertise, marketing support, business-sale experience, CRM systems and an established audience of business and franchise prospects.
The model is being designed around a modern, transparent and client-focused business-sale process, a collaborative approach to referrals and buyer opportunities, rather than working in isolation, and the opportunity to influence how Sell Up develops as it grows from pilot stage into a national network
Who we are looking for
This role will suit an ambitious, commercially minded professional with direct experience in business broking, business transfer, corporate finance, accountancy-led transactions or SME advisory.
You should be comfortable building trusted relationships with business owners, understanding confidential sales processes, assessing buyer quality and managing transactions through what can be a complex and emotional journey.
Most importantly, you will share our belief that selling a business should be handled with integrity, clarity and genuine commitment to the client’s best interests.
Why join as a Pilot Franchisee?
Being among the first is not for everyone. It is for someone who wants more influence, more input and the chance to help create a genuinely better business.
As a Pilot Franchisee, you will be able to contribute directly to the development of Sell Up’s systems, client journey, marketing approach and franchise proposition. You will work closely with the founding team as the business establishes its first successful sales, referral partnerships and regional presence.
This is a rare opportunity to combine the independence of running your own business with the support, infrastructure and strategic ambition of an emerging national brand.
Join Sell Up Business Brokers and help modernise the way UK business owners sell their businesses.
Pilot franchise territories and commercial terms will be discussed with suitable applicants following an initial confidential conversation. This is an invitation to enquire and not an offer to sell a franchise.
