Rankin’s Cafe is an award winning cafe offering premuim coffee, superior quality loose leaf teas, breakfast, lunch and brunch delivered in a relaxed contemporary setting.  It is a family run business that focusses on customer service, quality of food offered and the provision of an overall excellent customer experience which is reflected in the many five star reviews on Google and Trip Advisor.  Rankin’s is considered to be one of the best cafes in Fife.

 

Over the years the cafe has built a sizeable loyal customer base reulting in the cafe being a thriving and popular eating destination.  It is located in close proximity to the three bridges, in particular the iconic heritage status Forth Rail Bridge which brings in many tourists and visitors. There is also Deep Sea World in the village and the cafe benefits from a steady stream of families who have visited the attraction, especially during the school holidays.

 

All meals are made fresh using premium ingredients, for example Stornoway black pudding, free range eggs and pork sausages made by an award winning local butcher.  The cafe has a class 3 licence. 

 

The premises, a substantial stone building, is located in the small coastal village of North Queensferry. The attractive exterior street frontage welcomes the customers into a contemporary interior with well-presented decor, quality furniture, fixtures and fittings.  The cafe has 27 covers inside and has Council permission for an additional 8 covers outside, used when weather permits.  There is a single customer toilet, recently redecorated, with modern fittings including, electric hand drier and wall mounted baby changing station. 

 

All equipment, coffee machine, grinder, white goods, crockery, cooking utensils etc are included in the sale. A new 10 year lease would be avalable to the new owner.  The cafe would be sold on a de-branded basis and the new owners would bring their own name and branding.  The existing owners would be willing to provide training and hand over assistance if required. 

 

The existing owners are looking to exit by the end of September.  Each party would be liable for their own legal fees, accountancy and any other business fees.
