Thunderflower Distillery is an established, award-winning micro-distillery positioned between Exeter and Cullompton in Mid-Devon.

The business produces a portfolio of premium own-label gins and mixed spirits, alongside a growing contract distilling operation for third-party brands.

The brand holds a strong market reputation for quality, supported by multiple gold medal awards, including England’s Best Navy Gin and England’s Best Signature Botanical Gin at the World Gin Awards.

The operation is based in a modern, purpose-built facility at Mercury Business Park. The premises include a fully equipped distillery, preparation kitchen, WC, and a well-presented bar and function space suitable for tastings and private events. Parking for 4 vehicles is provided.

The distillery is fully licensed, including authorisation as a distillery and HMRC excise warehouse, enabling duty-suspended production and storage.

The distillery is fully sustainable with extensive solar panel and battery storage resulting in electricity costs of around £50 per month.  A closed loop chiller system ensures 60k litres/year water savings.

Revenue is generated through a diversified sales mix: wholesale supply to farm shops, National Trust sites, independent wine merchants, restaurants, and bars across Devon; direct-to-consumer online sales; and high-margin event trading at established food festivals.

Clear growth pathways exist through national distribution, export development, new product lines (including RTDs, rum, vermouth, English whisky, and pre-mixed cocktails), expansion of contract distilling, and increased utilisation of the on-site events space.

A new 9-year lease is available, incorporating an 18-month break clause.
