Torquay based Jet Ski Sea Safari operator Jet Set Go! is a highly reputable and well-established business.  It was founded in 2017 and is now heading into its 10th year. It is in the very sort after English Riviera which boasts a stunning 22-mile coastline.  Torquay is a very popular holiday destination for long stay holidays, weekenders and day visitors.

Jet Set Go! Coastal Adventures is situated in MDL Marina within Torquay Harbour.  The business currently runs all Yamaha Jet Skis, 2 x FXHO Skis (one is the instructor Ski) and 2 x Yamaha VX Skis.  The skis are kept out of the water on floating docks and benefit from the security of MDL which also provides night security and regular checks especially during times of bad weather.

There is a modern well designed, easy to navigate website with self-booking facility through the site.  The current booking system is ‘Checkfront’ using the ‘Stripe’ payment system. It also has an active social media presence with a Facebook page of over 6,500 followers with regular engagement.  Posts range from 500 to 265,000 views on average.  Its content is creative, clean and fun but also a place for customers to see photos of their time out on the water.  The Instagram page has 1000 followers and receives a large volume of views to its content.  The TikTok account with 800 followers has post views of over 2000 with a maximum of 87,000 views.

Routinely the business operates with the ratio of one instructor ski to 3 customer skis but are licensed by the harbour authority to run with a maximum of 5 customer skis to one instructor. It has a full range of approximately 20 gull wetsuits, wetsuit gloves and 12 O’Brien buoyancy aids. The business is also an RYA training school for PWC1 courses and has the full range of equipment associated with the course.

Customers have been known to travel large distances to take part in experiences and there is a high rate of annual repeat customers who come several times a year, often booking several trips during their weeks stay in the area, as well as many first-time jet skiers.  There has been no formal paid for advertising as word of mouth, outstanding reviews and general signage around the harbour has historically provided enough custom.

Qualifications required to operate the business are RYA Instructor PWC (3-day course), First Aid and VHF Radio. The owner will happily provide a handover to pass on knowledge if required.
