PQA is a national organisation, with over 200 academies, providing part-time performing arts education for children and young people from the ages of 4 to 18. PQA prides itself on providing not just top quality performing arts education but also being a safe space for children to make friends, grow in confidence and explore their interests and identities.
PQA Putney was established in 2018, originally known as PQA Earlsfield. In January 2023, the academy moved to Ark Putney Academy and changed their name to PQA Putney. The school has excellent facilities including a purpose-built theatre and a large main hall with a stage and balcony seating. There is also ample on-site parking for parents and plenty of outdoor space which has proved ideal for shooting short films.
The current principal, Izzi, took over in August 2022 and has built an excellent reputation for the academy, both for the quality of teaching and for the supportive, inclusive and nurturing environment of the academy. Pupils feel truly safe to be themselves at this academy and rise to new challenges. It’s a small academy, but one with a lot of heart and a loyal student base. We still have six students who have been with us since doors opened in May 2018.
