Become the Next Editor-in-Chief of Menopause Life Magazine
A Unique Five-Year Publishing Licence Opportunity
For the right person, this is an opportunity to take the helm of an established menopause publication and shape its next chapter.
Menopause Life Magazine has been operating on a not-for-profit basis for many years, helping to raise awareness, share knowledge and give women a place to read real stories, discover products and services, and better understand the health and wellbeing issues that can affect them during menopause and beyond.
We now believe the time is right for someone new to take Menopause Life forward.
The magazine will be offered under licence by Menopause Experts Group Limited, with the successful applicant becoming the new Editor-in-Chief of Menopause Life Magazine for an initial five-year term, renewable thereafter should both parties wish to continue.
The licence fee for the initial five-year term is £15,500 VAT
Backed by an Established Menopause Organisation
Menopause Experts Group Limited was established in 2020 with a clear purpose: to improve menopause awareness, education and understanding and to help create better health outcomes through accessible, practical information.
Since then, the organisation has developed a growing portfolio of menopause-focused education, training and commercial initiatives.
Alongside Menopause Life Magazine, the group has created and developed brands including MenoChef, bringing greater focus to the relationship between food, nutrition and menopause, and Menopause Champions International, which is building a wider network of trained and licensed Menopause Champions.
The new Editor-in-Chief of Menopause Life will therefore not simply be taking responsibility for an isolated publication. They will be operating within an established and expanding menopause health and education ecosystem, with access to the knowledge, experience, relationships and support of Menopause Experts Group Limited.
The Opportunity
This would particularly suit someone who is passionate about menopause and women's health, entrepreneurial, outgoing and ambitious, with the attention to detail required to build a high-quality publication and commercial brand.
Experience within publishing, media, journalism, design, marketing or communications would certainly be beneficial, but it is not essential.
More important is the ability to connect with people, identify interesting stories and opportunities, build commercial relationships and share our belief that menopause deserves greater visibility, understanding and education.
Menopause Life has always been about far more than advertising.
The magazine exists to promote awareness, education and conversation. It provides women with an opportunity to read the experiences of others, understand more about their health, hear from experts and discover products, businesses and services that may support their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
It also creates an important platform for brands and organisations working within women's health and wellness to reach an engaged and relevant audience.
Make It Your Own
The new Editor-in-Chief will have the opportunity to shape the future personality and commercial direction of Menopause Life.
This could include developing:
The intention is not simply to maintain the magazine as it currently exists, but to find someone with the ambition to grow it substantially.
You Won't Be Starting From Scratch
There is already content and material available for future editions, providing the new licence holder with a valuable starting point.
We also have a strong existing relationship with a highly experienced East Midlands printing company with a history stretching back approximately 100 years, providing continuity and established production support.
For the first year, the new Editor-in-Chief will have the flexibility to determine the publishing frequency and can decide whether Menopause Life is initially developed as a monthly or quarterly magazine.
The period between appointment and the end of 2026 can be used to prepare the publication for its next commercial chapter, develop partnerships and advertisers, plan editorial content and establish a stronger distribution strategy.
The objective is to begin significantly growing readership, distribution, advertising and magazine sales from January 2027 onwards.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who sees the potential in what Menopause Life could become.
Someone who is:
Previous publishing or media experience would be welcomed, but the right attitude, commercial drive and passion for the subject are more important.
Become Editor-in-Chief
This is not an employment opportunity.
It is an opportunity to secure a five-year licence from Menopause Experts Group Limited to operate and develop Menopause Life Magazine, becoming its Editor-in-Chief and building the commercial opportunity surrounding the publication.
The new Editor-in-Chief will have room to bring their own ideas, personality, creativity and commercial thinking to the magazine while having the reassurance of support and guidance from Menopause Experts Group whenever required.
A Rare Opportunity
Opportunities to take responsibility for an existing specialist publication, while having the freedom to build its next stage of growth, do not come along very often.
Menopause is now an increasingly important conversation across women's health, workplace wellbeing, nutrition, healthcare and healthy ageing.
Menopause Life already has a purpose, an identity and a history.
What it now needs is the right person with the entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm and ambition to take it forward.
