Kenninghall is a close-knit community and The Marketplace coffee shop emulates this by creating a welcoming atmosphere to those in and around the village.
The Marketplace sits in a building rich with history, and restoring it has been a labour of love. We wanted the renovation to celebrate the character of the space while creating something fresh, warm and inviting. From the soft tones of the walls to the natural wood accents and considered lighting, every detail was chosen to reflect the values at the heart of the restaurant — comfort, quality, and a sense of place.
In April 2025, The Marketplace opened its doors for the very first time. From the moment the first guests stepped inside, we knew something special was unfolding. The clink of coffee cups, the warm buzz of conversation, the joy of food shared — everything we had imagined came to life. It’s been a joy to welcome our community through the door, and we’re so grateful for the incredible support and excitement that’s surrounded our opening chapter.
