Introduction.

Picture Bute is a large retail space and workshop, based in Rothesay, Isle Of Bute.
Since 2008, it has sold art, jewellery, giftware, souvenirs etc as well as providing services such as large format printing, trophy engraving, large format sublimation printing, vinyl cutting, laser cutting and engraving and picture framing. 

Turnover circa £80K (part time 25hrs/wk)

The business and premises are for sale (due to retirement), all stock, fixtures, fittings and equipment.

The Premises

The premises can be leased at an annual rent of £5200. The property is currently covered by the Argyll & Bute Council Small Business Bonus Scheme, meaning NO BUSINESS RATES are currently payable. The premises consists of a retail area, store room(with toilet and sink) and a workshop area totalling 1550 square feet (144 square metres). It is part of a Victorian tenement block, with 1/8 responsibility for the maintenance of shared areas and facilities.

The Stock

All shop stock is included in the sale. This consists of art work and prints, local souvenirs, ornaments, jewellery, high end glass and pewter ware, hats, scarves, blankets, throws etc. The number and diverse range of items stocked is too large to list. The estimated wholesale cost of the current stock is estimated to be in the region of £40,000. All supplier information (and introductions) will be provided to the successful buyer.

The Equipment

The workshop is used to carry out work (both for shop stock and customer orders) in a variety of disciplines, such as large format printing, canvas printing, trophy engraving, sublimation printing, picture framing, photo mount cutting etc.

The Buyer

As well as the ability to sell and manage the inventory of a thriving retail shop, the buyer will require knowledge of (or existing skills in) all of the above equipment and associated production processes. As a condition of the sale, the seller will agree a 'training period' to provide intensive training on the above equipment and processes.

The sale is for the business, stock and equipment as a whole with no exclusions.
