Our 1974 VW Bay Window High Top Camper Van, affectionately called Daisy, is from South Africa. In 2020 it was professionally converted into a fully equipped ice cream van, complete with catering freezer, two display freezers and a sink and scoop wash. The display freezer holds five, five litre tubs of ice cream and the main freezer can carry up to twenty five five litre tubs of ice cream. At an event, Daisy plugs into a main socket to power the freezers and in transport, runs off a battery.
This vehicle was first registered 1.1,1974 and has been imported from South Africa. Extensive work has been carried out to bring it up to an excellent standard and is the original mint green colour.
This is a new start-up business that has so much potential for the right owners. Unfortunately, the current owners have very busy lives with two small children and cannot give the business the commitment required to keep up with the increasing demand. Over the past two summers, Daisy has been a resident ice cream van at York Races, music festivals and has attended many weddings.
The potential is massive, with an estimated 350,000 weddings taking place across the UK in 2022. The business receives over fifty enquiries per month to attend weddings, parties, local community events, corporate events and music festivals. This has been achieved with very little advertising.
