The picturesque village of Almeley nestles in the unspoilt west Herefordshire countryside, on the famous Black & White Trail. It is approximately 1.5 miles from three separate trunk routes - the A480, A438 and A4111 - and is approximately five miles from the town of Kington, 13 from Leominster and 14 from Hereford. The surrounding area is predominately agricultural with a large number of villages.  It commands outstanding views of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons mountain range.

The Bells Inn occupies a mature setting in a central position in the village. It is a characterful cottage style property that appears to be constructed of stone under a pitched slate roof to the main, with partially rendered and colourwashed elevations. There have been several notable improvements to the property, and these are ongoing.

It has also been the recipient of several regional and national pub awards, these being Hereford Times’s ‘Best Pub 2022’, CAMRA ‘Pub of The Year’ runners up 2020 and 2021, CAMRA ‘Spring Pub of The Season 2020’ and the BBC Food and Farming Award 2016.
