Established Website for Sale Genuine e commerce opportunity in the crafts education sector

Established Website for Sale - Providing a genuine e-commerce opportunity in the crafts education sector.

Now offered for sale due to owner's ill health.

Description.

‘Find a Craft’ is an e-commerce website that connects adult learners with craft course providers.

The website was launched in April 2021 and is now well established within the craft education sector.

Website.

www.findacraft.co.uk.

‘Find a Craft’ is a professionally designed e-commerce multi-vendor marketplace website which allows craft course providers to promote their schools and courses.

Visitors to the website can choose from hundreds of craft courses throughout the UK and contact the schools or course providers directly for further information or to book a course.

Craft course providers can register on the website for free to upload details of their school and list up to three x craft courses. There is also a directory within site, where all the registered course providers are listed.

Registration for course providers is easy, and on approval they receive access to their own section of the website from where they enter school details, upload images, and provide a link to their own website or social media page. This information is then displayed in the craft providers directory as well as their own individual course provider page.

‘Find a Craft’ does not currently handle any enquiries or course bookings on behalf of course providers, and no commission or other fees are paid. However, there is an option for registered course providers to join ‘Find a Craft’ as a member, although this has not yet been promoted and needs developing.

The cost of course provider membership is £25pm, payable by monthly subscription and the benefits include:

· Listing unlimited courses.

· 'Featured' status for all courses listed.

· All courses are individually promoted free of charge on the Find a Craft social media accounts.

· Option to include informational videos about school and courses.

· Option to submit press releases for inclusion on the website and social media pages.

· Priority account support.

There are currently only four subscribed members, but this is something that could be promoted to help monetise the site.

The website has 230 registered course providers and 385 verified craft courses listed in 44 categories.

Management.

The website uses the WordPress platform and can be easily managed with some basic WordPress knowledge.

The current owner spends approx. 30 minutes a day on managing the website and social media pages.

Performance.

The website has been optimised for search engine performance and ranks highly for the most relevant keywords and currently receives approx. 20,000 page views per month.

Social Media.

Facebook – Find a Craft has a Facebook page which currently has 1,223 followers.

Twitter – There is a Twitter account with 137 followers.

Instagram – There is an Instagram account with 22 followers.

Scope for Development.

The current owners’ original objectives were:

1. Develop the website.

2. Get a minimum of 200-course providers to register and list their courses.

3. Develop an income from the site.

The first two objectives have been achieved and a plan is now required to develop the income.

Suggestions on how this could be achieved:

1. Promote the membership subscription option.

2. Charge course providers for listings or enquiries received via the site.

3. Take course bookings through the website and charge commission to the providers.

4. Sell craft course gift vouchers via the site.

The Sale.

The current owner has recently been diagnosed with a long-term illness with a treatment program that will make it very difficult for him to continue the development of the business effectively.

Much time has been spent by the current owner in developing and launching the website, researching, and contacting craft course providers and optimising the website for search engine performance.

A new owner would ideally have some marketing or craft sector experience, so that they can develop ideas for future income, and promote this to craft course providers.

Reasonable offers are invited from anyone interested in taking on this project.

Included in sale.

· Website –www.findacraft.co.uk.

· Course provider/customer database.

· Domain –findacraft.co.uk.

· Facebook page.

· Twitter account.

· Instagram account.
