Business Details

Established Successful Landscape Gardening Business for Sale Belfast

Established in 1985, the business has grown to the size it is today. All our private and commercial accounts are in South and East Belfast where we have seen an upward trend in people developing their homes and maintaning their property.

This is an ideal way to hit the ground running. The maintenance side of the business is operated by two trained gardeners. The landscape side is operated by one full time. The business has always provided staff with a safe, efficient working environment and a good salary. I currently run business from my home and don't need to rent premises.

The season starts at the end of February and runs until December. The owners has run it at 40 hours per week to meet family needs but you can grow this to whatever you feel you can achieve.

Work/grass cutting routes are all within a five mile radius and covers Castlereagh, Knock, Stormont, Dundonald and Stranmillis.

My customers are willing to pay for a quality and reliable service, whether it’s through regular fortnightly, monthly and seasonal maintenance agreements.

The maintenance side of the business provides a regular constant income throughout the year, consisting of 80% of the annual turnover. Income is from 80 regular clients to whom we provide gardening services (grass cutting) on a fortnightly basis. Many choose us for other garden maintenance work. An additional 12 commercial sites (8 with small amount of grass) are a good source of revenue.

These clients are loyal to the business, many of whom I have provided a service for many years and pay invoices promptly providing good cash flow.

All additional business to date has been through recommendation and clients report a lack of good, knowledgeable, reliable gardener in the local area. This has been supported by my own experience of the high number of enquiries I receive which has caused me to have to turn down new business on occasion.

In addition to the growing garden maintenance side of the business, we have an established landscape side. This consists of everything from planting projects to paving, decking, fencing, prepping driveways for contractors, etc.

Many private and commercial clients move into the area and are redesigning their homes, gardens and green spaces This side of the business currently consists of around 20% of the annual turnover. This could easily be expanded to include more projects. We see many enquiries for landscape work and depending on the skills and experience of the owner/owners this is also a profitable area of the company.

I am selling the business as I wish to retire. It was a difficult decision as I have a good relationship with my clients, the business is always steadily growing and has great potential going forward. I believe it’s an exciting opportunity for a gardener/ gardeners in partnership with enthusiasm and knowledge to take the business on.

The sale of the business includes all assets (2016 Vauxhall Vivaro van with low mileage), trailer, Honda lawnmowers, Stihl and Husqvarna strimmers, Stihl long reach hedge cutters, pole saws, leaf blowers, vibrating plate, professional electric cement mixer and grinders, all hand tools, weedkiller and moss killer stock etc etc.

I’d be more than happy to provide advise and support to establish the business. one months working with new owner to ensure a smooth/ efficient transition.

You will be able to brand the van yourself and operate under your own name which you will get help and advice on if required.

All legitimate offers and enquiries will be considered.
