 The subjects comprise this magnificent, traditional, 2-storey stone built property, all under a pitched thatched roof.  The property was built in the early 1700’s however was completely refurbished and renovated in 2012 including a new thatched roof.

 DESCRIPTION

The subjects can be accessed via the main entrance to the rear leading into the main restaurant/bar area, or via an entrance to the side of the property which takes you via the ice cream parlour/café/shop area.

The ice cream parlour/café/shop area has a large counter/servery incorporating an ice cream freezer and display chill cabinets displaying a selection of cakes and home baking products.  To the rear of the counter there are stainless steel workbenches with undercounter refrigeration, and equipment including coffee machine, milkshake blenders etc. There is a display drinks fridge at the front for self service as well retail shelving displaying a selection of confectionary and gift products.

The subjects benefit from an attractive, landscaped external seating terrace with a number of picnic style benches.

 The business trades 7 days a week, 9am-8:30pm, offering an excellent breakfast menu, an extensive a la carte menu with a Scottish/Gastropub style, a kids menu, as well as a broad wine list and drinks selection.

 The business enjoys an excellent reputation and has a loyal and regular clientele from the village and surrounding towns and villages, but benefits hugely from the high volumes of tourists and day trippers including golfers, Turnberry Hotel residents as well as the high levels of travellers from the Irish Ferry.
