A gorgeous, beautiful and magical little cafe tucked away off undoubtedly Norwich's most famous and historic street, Elm Hill
Elm Hill is the most Complete medieval street in the city. A major fire destroyed almost everything in 1507 but the properties were rebuilt and now we can enjoy a beautiful cobbled street with merchant’s houses, thatching, individual homes, speciality shops and small cafes.
Elm Hill is a photographers dream; whatever the season it retains its character and beauty. In summer, wander around browsing shops such as The Bear Shop, a quaint little place specialising in bears and collectables. In autumn, wonder at the rich colours of the falling leaves. In winter it is so Christmassy and charming, and in Spring, new life starts to form making Elm Hill bright and vibrant.
A cafe has been in this spot for over 30 years with the most recent version being 'The Courtyard Cafe' (Look on Trip Advisor to see more photos and 5/5 rating. We also have a five star 'food hygiene rating')
Regretably, due to family and health reasons we can no longer run the cafe which we had absolutely fell in love with.
We rent the house facing Elm Hill that backs onto the cafe and are moving so it is a possibilty that this lease could also be assigned. The house comes with hot tub and has been fully renovated recently
It would be the perfect business for an owner/operator or a couple as owner/operators.
The business is also lucky enough to have a premises licence so can serve alcohol which has been a great compliment to afternoon teas.
Someone will absolutely fall in love with this cafe and it is with regret that we have to sell.
