Probably the oldest Barbershop in Bristol, trading since 1888, is now coming available for sale.
After 19 years in this shop and 30 running my own Hairdressing businesses, the last 12 months have caused me to reassess my current work/life balance, so with some sadness but also excitement I have decided to offer my Barbershop up for sale!
Traditionally the business grosses £1200-1500 per week with one hairdresser working alone, but for obvious reasons (covid) the last 12 months it hasn't, however, we are now on our way back to normality, and I have no reason to believe that the coming months will not see a return to those figures.
The property also benefits from the upper floors that I re-developed into a five-bedroom flat that I have rented to students and professionals as a house of multiple occupancy generating £30000 under full occupancy, which it usually is. This means you are already £18000 p/a up before you even lift a pair of scissors!
The shop itself is in good, tasteful decorative order with three chairs (only two years old) and one wash unit, a reception desk and a wood laminate floor. The asking price reflects the trading goodwill, the fixtures and fittings of both the flat and the shop and the re-development of the upper floors from derelict storage.
I will listen to offers; however, I feel it is very reasonably priced, so please, keep them sensible. I am in no particular rush to start the next chapter in my life and am happy to wait until the right purchaser comes along.
Pleased don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, and I'll be happy to answer where I can.
The asking price is £47000
