Business Details

A small, independent coffee shop and cafe, established in 2017 and run as a family business it has become a popular venue for both local residents and visitors to the area with great reviews which keep attracting new customers. I am reluctantly selling as family members move on to new ventures and changes in personal circumstances.

This is an ideal business for anyone who is looking for a change of lifestyle, a friendly community hub that can be run easily by a couple with one or two part time staff to help cover.

Known for our friendly atmosphere, we are often a meeting point for small community groups and charities. We have been supporters of many good local causes. We are set apart from our main competition, with plenty of free on-street parking we are close to the Three Counties Showground and a large High School.

A high percentage of our business is from regular customers, which gives a very stable base. We currently operate Tuesday & Wednesday 10am to 2.30pm Thursday & Friday 9.30am - 3pm and Saturday mornings. Giving plenty of scope to increase what is already a healthy turnover.

The menu is simple but varied, with a good selection of home made cakes and made to order hot and cold sandwiches and soups and salads according to the season.

The cafe can seat up to 16 inside and we have a front patio area that seats another 12 - 16 with a fixed gazebo giving protection from inclement weather. There is potential to increase the current turnover by extending opening hours, and offering a delivery service.

We have active social media accounts and great reviews on Google and TripAdvisor.

During the Covid restrictions we were able to adapt to allow us to continue to trade. As a result the take away business developed considerably and when restrictions were lifted we welcomed many new customers who had heard of us during the lockdown. The business is currently healthy and stable and takings are now higher than pre-Covid levels over a shorter working week!
