BUSINESS HISTORY

Bühler and Co is the culmination of six years of hard work. Inspired by the café culture they grew up with in New Zealand, the owners have recreated this in Walthamstow with flavours and an atmosphere that reflects multicultural London. Open daily, Bühler and Co has nestled in as a local go-to for people in the community, with an outstanding reputation both in Walthamstow and around London. It is renowned for its cooked brunch, homemade cakes, speciality coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and excellent service.

The company was established on 13th January 2016 and started trading on the 29th March 2016. After the start of trading, they opened evenings between May 2017 and May 2019 (closed due to starting families). Deliveroo was established around May 2018 due to Deliveroo’s extended hours is busier since the beginning of the pandemic.

TRADING HOURS

Monday – Sunday: 9:00am to 3:30pm

PROPERTY

The establishment is in three sections. The first section is indoors,3.3m x 8.4m. There is a full window letting in lots of light with a window seat to seat three people. The tables can seat 12 – 16 people. There is a counter with a coffee station and cakes and the kitchen is located behind this.

The kitchen/KP and back bar area are 3.3 m x 5.3m. The second section is a covered outdoor seating area with a toilet. This section is 6.1 x 4.8 m and seats up to 21 people comfortably. The third section is a garden room that is 4.8m x 3.3m and seats up to 20 people.

TENURE

The business was originally opened on a five-year lease and is now on a rolling lease. The landlord is happy with the sale of the business and is open to discussion about a lease for new tenants. The rental is £1,500 per month and it is within the 1954 act.
