Zero waste refill business for sale
Ten Foot Naked is a zero-waste, refill business based in Poole, Dorset. We serve package free shopping (food, drinks, household liquids & products, plant-based beauty products).
There are three prongs of revenue to the business:-
1. Online deliveries (book a slot)
2. Pop up shop (zero waste shop on wheels)
3. Physical shop on Poole High st.
The business started in Sept 2020 as a mobile-only business (online deliveries and pop up locations around Dorset) with the idea of making package free shopping as convenient as possible for customers all over Dorset. The mobile shop (2015 Ford Transit Van/ milage 104,000) is fitted with solar panels which runs all the electrics.
There are Bizerba scales for customers to 'weigh their own' & print stickers with the price. There are built-in shelving and scoop bins filled with stock, LED lighting, recycled plastic countertop, card machine made from recycled ocean plastic, linked to izettle. The website (upon request) is built to make shopping zero waste.
There is the ability to change the ranges and postcodes covered. It makes the expansion of the online delivery business easy. The mobile shop can park in specific locations and open as a shop.
We then got offered a free shop (free rent and rates until March 2023) as part of the Poole Kingland project (a string of lively, independent shops on Poole high st). The shop opened in March 2021 and remains open.
The shop is located on busy Poole High st (population of 150,000). It is fitted with a bakery section, household liquid station, oat milk on tap, scoop bins for essential foods, and organic vegetable racks. The Poole shop has free rent and rates attached to it until March 2023 (contract length). The rent will then be based on turnover as an incentive to keep the businesses operating in the long term.
We would prefer to sell the business as a whole but would consider selling the mobile business separately (can relocate nationally) if the price is right.
