My father and I started this business. We planned for this business to only be a pre-booking taxi business to and from the Stansted airport.

We attempted to grow the business. However, there was trouble finding and keeping drivers that would live up to our standards and reputation. Therefore we had only two regular self-employed drivers. It was a four-driver fleet.

Bookings were made only in the name of four drivers.

My father passed away early in 2021. Since then, I have taken control. I am now looking to have a change of career.

This business model would fit perfectly into an already well-established company. They can simply integrate this website and google advert into their current booking system.

Since my father passed away, we have been operating only an answer-phone service. The message prompts customers to use our online booking service or to mail for queries.

The voice mail got displayed in our email inbox. When listening back to the voicemail, we found many messages were from people who wanted a taxi ASAP. As a pre-booking service, we did not have the fleet for on-demand calls.

According to the Google business report in the last quarter, we have received 3100 calls via our Google account.

It was an average of 258 calls per week.

An estimated 15% of all calls received were on demand.

Plus a fair £65.00 as an average price for a taxi booking.

Our calculations for further bookings look as such.

• 15% of 258 = 37
• 37 x £65 = 2405 per week
• £125,000 Per annum provable and possible bookings.

London Restricted

Due to a small fleet and the Ulez and Congestion charge, we have restricted all bookings to London. Given that the Stansted airport is advertised as London Stansted. Many of our enquiries are for London.

If an established fleet was to integrate our website, we believe there would be an increase of at least 20% extra bookings per annum.

• Turnover May 2018 - May 2019 (pre covid) : £133.8K
• 20% of £133.8K = £27.6,000
• So that's a potential of £27.6,000 extra, at a low estimate of 20% of booking queries.

Therefore, we believe that at a low estimate, the potential turnover for the business could reach £300.000 per annum.

It would be with little to no extra advertising necessary.

Due to 16 years of Google advertising, The Stansted taxi company has a very high listing on google search. With much better reviews and reputation than other competing taxi companies. A vast volume of bookings taken is due to these reviews alone.

The cost for the ads can be up to £10.000 per annum.

However, much of the bookings come through natural listings.

It is an interesting proposition for an established company near Stansted airport. A company that is looking to improve current bookings and make easy inroads into a growing Stansted airport.
