Futureform Building Systems Ltd holds all of the assets of the Futureform Companies, including it’s modular building system, IP, track record, technical electronic guides, trademarks and documentation.
These assets along with technical consultancy and support from the owners to help embed the system into a new organisation are now offered for sale for offers in excess of £1m.
The Futureform Building System uses welded light gauge, galvanised steel sections in a volumetric, modular system which are fitted out to a given specification and for a particular application.
The System has a wide range of applications and has been successfully used for:
• Private Residential mortgageable houses and apartments
• Social houses and apartments
• Hotels rooms
• Student rooms
• Garden offices
The structure of the System is manufactured using modern roll-formers which fabricate individual members to form panels with very tight tolerances.
The frames are assembled within a high tolerance 3 dimensional jig system which determines the accuracy of the volumetric form. The jig is formed via a hydraulic system to very close tolerance then welding begins. This determines the size and shape of the module for the rest of its design life enabling them to act as a monocoque or structural skin in which loads are supported by the external perimeters of the individual modules, following similar load lines to conventional construction. The shape of the modules can be any configuration which is transportable and need not be rectilinear.
The benefits from using the Futureform Building System are:
Low Carbon Footprint
High thermal performance
Shorter construction programme
Lower material waste
Lower energy use
A mortgageable and insurable solution
High acoustic performance
Sustainable solution using high levels of re-cycled material
Low maintenance
Zero settlement issues
The System has previously held BRE and NHBC Certificates and Accreditations which are now superseded but still reinforce the robustness of the System for mortgageability and insurability. The system was the recipient of €1.2m of research and documentation through EU funding FP7-SME.
The range of applications and demand for modular buildings is broad and growing, particularly with the COVID pandemic driving changes in living and working patterns creating demand for robust, safe, efficient and quick to build structures.
The system offers an ideal solution for a building or construction company wishing to capitalise on this lucrative and growing market. The system will allow a purchaser to overcome the barrier to entry by providing:
• A proven reliable system
• The track record of successful projects required to secure tenders
• Minimal R&D costs
• A recognised and respected brand
The owner of the system is now in semi-retirement and is therefore able to bring this unique opportunity in the construction sector to market.
The system provides significant competitive advantage and R&D savings for any construction company working or seeking to enter the modular building market.
