With a heavy heart, I have decided to sell my cafe. I've spent the last 18 months transforming and building the cafe into a successful, thriving and lovely place to spend time. My family commitments mean that I am now unable to continue to give the cafe the time and attention that it deserves to enable it to continue to thrive, and to develop it to its full potential.
My cafe is located over two floors, with a generous kitchen located on the ground floor. A double cellar is accessible via the back door off the kitchen. Customer seating for 14/16 upstairs along with customer toilets. Seating downstairs for 13/15.
Current hours are 9am - 4pm Tuesday to Saturdays. Trade would be significantly increased by opening on Sundays and/or earlier in the week to attract the many customers living nearby on their way to work. The previous owner opened on a Sunday and this was his second busiest day of the week. Due to my family commitments, I am unable to open on a Sunday. In addition, evening opening or weekly/occasional bistro nights are also likely to be popular, particularly given the location of the cafe.
My current lease is due to expire in 2023. The landlord has indicated that he would be happy to either agree to transfer that lease or to enter into a new lease with a buyer.
