You can choose to make money by selling your own goods, charge a fee to members for selling their goods, or as I've been doing... use banner advertising to generate income (I personally use AdBrite but you can use whoever you want - if you wish to use this method it would be up to you to set up your own account with a banner ad company, this only takes two minutes).
The business has a fair bit of competition (but which business doesn't?). Just type in auction sites into any search engine to see the competition, but I believe there is more than enough members to go around and most online sellers like to spread their stock around as many auction sites as they can... to generate the maximum number of sales they possibly can.
The site was established in December 2006, hosting costs £50 per year (all paid to October 2008) and the domain name costs £28 for two years (paid to December 2008).
There is an admin section where you can change features of the site, view/ban members, view/edit/delete members auctions, add/edit/delete categories, change sellers fees etc. There is also a control panel for the site where you can make adjustments to e-mail settings, view site statistics etc.
I'm looking for £1500 for this business, I believe this is a very small price to pay for a website that has the potential to be something good.
