Vintage VW ice cream business for Sale
It is with huge reluctance and a heavy heart that we have decided to put our much loved business up for sale, due to being offered a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The Splitscreen Ice Cream Co was established in 2009 and we have had the pleasure of owning the business since 2021.
The business was built around our 1964 SO2 high roof sales flap Splitscreen ice cream van. This is no conversion, this is an original ice cream van. Made in Wolfsburg and believed to be the last remaining original VW Splitscreen ice cream van left in the world. We have all the sales receipts to back this.
We have also recently purchased a 1960’s Westfalia sales flap trailer, which is currently in the project stage, allowing the buyer to decide which direction they would like to take this in. There are believed to be only 3 of these left in the world.
To have both the Splitscreen and the Westy trailer together, makes this one of the rarest collections going.
But wait, there’s more!!
In addition to the Splitscreen and Westy trailer, we also have a 1977 VW high top Baywindow ice cream van, a 1962 Cummins ice cream trailer and a vintage style ice cream cart.
The business could be split if interested.
This whole collection of vintage assets, makes our business stand out amongst its competitors due to its uniqueness.
But there’s still more!
We also have a 2015 VW T5 Transporter with 4 wheel drive and a Brian James trailer for towing the Splitscreen to events.
The business is well established at festivals and events across the Country, and we would look to try and pass these on to the new owner, along with all the assets and stock we have, which includes- tills, card readers, urns, fridges, freezers, water carriers, waffle machine, milkshake machine, scoops & jugs, microwaves just to name a few things.
This business is ready to run and will be ready to hand over to new owners in September once we fulfill our existing bookings this year. There’s an opportunity for the new owners to attend events this year alongside us to learn the ropes ready for a smooth transition.
