About Hot Tubs On Hire
Hot Tubs On Hire was founded nearly three years ago by Louise Lang.
The company was set up after lengthy research within our current market place, product training, Health and Safety awareness and much much more.
Within 3 weeks of going live we realised that there was huge potential in the niche I had found and bookings started to come in. I had previous experience in advertising and marketing online through my previous online business so I realised the importance of getting the Hot Tubs On Hire brand name out there and the amount of time and effort that this would entail.
Like in any business, it has been a learning curve all the way and as we have grown and become a small team we have learnt to perfect many of the day to day issues we had in the early stages and make the business run very smoothly and even more efficiently.
As you can see from our website, we hire portable deluxe hot tubs within the South West (Somerset, Devon and Avon) to a large range of people for birthday parties, hen nights, stag weekends, anniversary’s and also for holiday self catering accommodation, not to mention the customers we have that just want a relaxing weekend at home with a spot of self indulgence.
We found that within the hot tub industry, getting any information on how to start up, how to hire, what we wanted to do and what we needed to do was extremely hard information to gather, so it was a long time before we could implement systems that worked best for us and have all the knowledge we needed through experience only before we were in a position to run any faster.
We still only operate on a part time basis as between husband and wife this business fits in perfectly around shift work and our free time. There is always potential to go full time, but as we both have very good jobs that we enjoy, we decided to get in help as and when we needed it during our very busy times.
We have come a long way since the day we started and were able to move into a beautiful home with much more space to be able to operate at the level we desired. By doing this we increased our stock levels, the size of our van and were able to take on even more bookings.
I soon realised the potential this business had and wanted to grow it even further but without having to give up our jobs and security or alter our lifestyles that we have become accustomed to.
This led me to further research within the world of franchising and it didn’t take me long to realise that this was not the best road to go down, due to large financial outgoings both for us as a business and the franchisee, the lengthy legalities that would have to be put into place, how time consuming it would be for both parties involved and the restrictions the franchisee would have. I asked myself if I would be happy as a franchisee rather than a true business owner – the answer was no!

Total cost of business including a sign written van, a website, all stock, public liability cover, templates and training

We initially take a £5, 000 deposit (non-refundable) for your business location reservation
You will then be booked into the Premier Inn Hotel for a weekend of your choice to have an informal chat and see things in action at our local home address. Your van will be purchased and the sign writing applied and your website will be created.
Over the weekend the remainder £30, 000 must be paid, so your stock and equipment can also be purchased.
You will be taken through all the steps of running the business successfully, this will include:
Installing and collecting the hot tubs
Demonstrations for customers, including step by step guides provided
Rental agreements
Adding chemicals and logging details
Cleaning the hot tubs making sure that you comply with current legislations and recommendations
Bacteria swab testing
Power Pack Chlorination and testing
Requirements e. G. PAT testing, chemical data sheets, risk assessments, storage etc

Will will provide you with a disk of templates, all your books(Approx £120 worth)and paperwork.
Once all this is done, you can then arrange another brief visit to collect your van and equipment so you can start trading straight away.
The course will need to be attended ASAP for one day, which will be arranged with you at your convenience. You will then be certificated.
