Established Dog Training Academy for Sale, Southern Hampshire

Well established, dog training academy. Sole trader status, not a limited company. The Academy has been running for 13 years, with a regular, weekly client base of over 100 + puppy customers and other. Regular customers all pay on a DD through GC, so secure income.

The business sale does not include some of the online sales or the Dog Trainer Certificate programme. There is room for discussion on these aspects.

There is a great team of both volunteers and paid staff. I full time paid staff and 3 part time staff, working weekends, alongside volunteers.

The majority of the income is through weekend classes that have been running for the 13 years of the business. Most sales are word of mouth. We get a customer and aim to keep them for life! We still have customers that joined us 13 years ago when we began.

The business is outstanding with it's array of classes. Pet gundog, fun agility, nosework, True Truffle Hunting, alongside all the usual puppy and dog training classes. 

We have a Tree of Achievement for dogs to climb with their owners. Working through a grading process. 

There is competition to some degree, but it is minimal, as there are very few places offering the range of services and classes that we do. There is scope to expand way beyond this, with the energy and enthusiasm a new business owner could bring. 

I would be happy to stay on board as an advisor (for a fee), for a year. My senior instructor knows the business inside out and has been with me for almost 9 years. I can see no reason why she wouldn't stay on board. Salaries are low. Minimum wage for weekend staff, £12 per hour maximum. 

Venue is on annual contract and includes 2 portacabins and a field. There is a trailer and an army tent in the field for storage. In the winter we work at a local museum, when our field is wet. 

We have 2 venues on a Sunday. So much scope for expansion, which I would willingly advise, if needed.

I'm now in my 60's and would retain the Dog Trainer Certificate programme as 'something to get up in the morning' for. There could be an option to pay a fee to the new owner for use of venue and customers to support this.
