It is a home boarding business for dogs(i. E. Provides care for dogs while their owners are away or at work, but in private homes rather than kennels). Almost all of the work is done from home by email and telephone so you don't need any business premises. The overheads are incredibly low. It has been running for 6 years and I have full trading records for all of that time. I started it from scratch in May 2005. The turnover last year was £42K and the profit £20K. This year should be higher. This business now has an excellent reputation and is building up through customer and vet recommendations. It has an excellent website too. There are many regular customers and a reliable network of 40 dog carers too - plenty to sustain the business and expand a little. You can make more profit if you have dogs to stay with you as well as with the carers. There is much scope for expansion. I only have about 15 hours per week to work. With double the number of hours, it should be easy to double the turnover and the profit. I will give the buyer full training and support and all the documentation that is needed to run the business. It is not difficult if you enjoy talking to people. The customers & carers are lovely people and I shall be sad to see it go. However, I now want to return to studying.
