The two artists who run the classes are free lance. The Gallery trading hours are monday - thursday 9.30 am - 5.00 pm and friday & saturdays until 3.00 pm. There is no workshop on the premises. The premises are on a 6 year lease and is due to be renewed in 2009, on the usual conditions.
We also stand at several outdoor events during the year - Country Fairs and shows. We have a e'commerce website and a Ebay shop.
The premises are a lovely old building, dating back to the mid 1800's, on three floors, two with heating and the top floor is in use but not heated, plus a storage room. We have held several exhibitions previously. All carpeted, with small kitchen & toilet. There is free parking at the rear of the building in a public car park, and is situated on a main road, running through the large village/small, well established old town, north of Doncaster.
The gallery currently hangs a number of original paintings by one particular artist which are NOT included in the sale, (although a private arrangement maybe made direct with the artist to purchase their work if required).
We stock a large range of prints, mounted/unmounted and framed, including dogs, horses, tractors, countryside images, planes, trains and a large selection of motor sport images, plus samples of framing in the gallery. The price includes fixtures and fitting in the gallery as seen, plus stock including craft items & gifts, also as seen& good will, website & ebay shop, details of outdoor shows etc.
The number of outdoor events we attend has reduced over the years, but these can be increased to increase earnings. The e'commerce site as only been running for a few months and needs work to improve to build the site and sales.
Further painting workshops can also be added to the calendar of events.
The turnover in the first year was £30,000 and as steadily increased. The business is for sale due to illness. The workshop contents including a computerise Wizard mount cutter, plus various other machinery, moulding, mountboard, glass cutter & glass, hot press & accessories, are available seperatley if required. Training can also be arranged if required.
