It is believed to have the World’s oldest working Post Office with the town’s main landmark being the Tollbooth designed by William Adam and built it 1735. Glendyne Hotel has been owned by the current proprietors for nearly 10years and has been placed on the market as they wish to retire. The public bar is very popular with locals and the lounge bar being used mainly for bar meals and as an overflow from the public bar. The bedrooms are popular with walkers along with tourists, though very little marketing is carried out to promote the business with much of it coming from “word of mouth” or regular customers.
