We are have been trading for 2 and a half years with 3 full time members of staff behind the bar and 1 full time chef. Our successful 40 seat restuarant is always fully booked during Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and often during the week. The pub is open Monday evening from 6pm - 11pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12pm-3pm and then 6pm - 11pm and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday we open from 12pm and are licensed to 1am on Friday and Saturday and 11pm on Sunday. The kitchen is currently shut on Mondays and open 12pm-3pm then 6pm-9pm Tuesday - Saturday and from 12pm-5pm on Sunday for Tradtional Sunday Roasts. A full refurbishment of the premises was completed December 2007 and to the highest standard. The whole bar was removed and replaced along with a new ceiling, walls, air conditioning and a new oak floor covers the bar and restuarant area. A new extension was built on the side to house new toilet facilities, the kitchen area was extended and a new kitchen put in. The restuarant area seats 40 and consists of hand made wooden tables. The Bar area has stools at the bar, tables, chairs and hugely popular chesterfields. The new extension also consists of a self contained B&B with 4 Double rooms and 1 Single room, all ensuite and was graded 4 Star with Visit Britain. A large beer garden is family friendly and has room for a Marquee for possible outside events, in the past year alone we have catered for the local WI, wedding receptions and a Hogroast with celebrity Chef Brian Turner!
