Leasingquote.co.uk was created in February 2005 by Ableit, a Hertfordshire based web design and development company. Initially offering a simple quotation form and selling leads to one supplier - we have grown the business to bring in a over £25,000 (profit) annually and the site receives over 151,000 hits per month.
Website
The website has recently been updated and now has over 500 pages including the quotation module, car makes / models, reviews, technical specifications and advice. Authored in PHP, XHTML and CSS the website is standards compliant. (The compliance of the website has been rightly questioned - this will be looked at today14/07/2008)
Process
The lead generation service offered works on a multiplier. Each lead we receive is sold 4 times over to 4 different suppliers. On average we receive 5 – 9 car and 3 – 4 van leasing leads per day. After the validation process we send 5 car leasing and 2 van leasing leads.
Income
The figure fluctuates from month to month however an average over the last 3 months is £2,012.
Expenses
The site has two costs attached to it. Firstly the advertising costs of approximately £105.00 per month. Secondly the hosting cost of £35.00 per month - however this is high and could be reduced to £15.00 per month.
Suppliers
Currently we service 7 van / car leasing companies. Some new and some old, with our oldest client being with us for 23 months. We also offer a 10 lead free trial to all new suppliers and secure 3 new trials per month.

Scope
1.Suppliers requirements : Currently we do not fulfil all our suppliers requirements in terms of daily leads, for each supplier we have a signed order detailing their daily lead requirements. If you were to fulfil the suppliers requirements the all inclusive total would be approximately £4,100.
2.Advertising opportunity : In January we investigated the option of placing a banner ad on the homepage. We were offered £3.00cpm by a recognised and established advertising house. With an average, over the last 3 months, of 153,000 hits this would total an additional income of £459.00 per month
3.Text Link Ads : On Friday last week were accepted onto their program with the ability to sell 10 links across the site at $15.00 per month. Currently we have sold 4 positions and are planning to add the relevant PHP code on Friday 18th July 2008
Timeframe
We are selling the business for two reasons, 1.) we are a web design agency and need to stop diluting our business 2.) we have a large local authority council starting 16th September 2008 – which we need to give 110% too.
